Whether you’ve come to Cape Town on business or pleasure, accommodation is essential. And not just any accommodation will do! You want a space that offers you comfort, that offers you beauty and above all, a space that feels like home. Casa Mila is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac and is within easy walking distance to the well known Cavendish Shopping mall.
Far more than a convenient place to stay, Casa Mila was started with the owner’s passion for family, friends and vibrant community in mind. Weaving the Brazilian roots of true hospitality into this South African home, this is a Guest House with a difference. A warm and receptive host, as professional as she is friendly, Mila ensures that guests at the residence are made to feel truly welcome. The house is to be rented as a whole and not by the individual rooms. This is a decision we have made due to Covid as a measure of safety for all.
Our fully kitchen equipped with a coffee machine and airfryer and open areas that cater for relaxation and entertainment alike; these are just some of the features which make Casa Mila your home away from home!
There is a garage and ample parking behind a secure wall. Full alarm system with sensor beams, cameras around the perimeter of the property and electrified fencing protecting the house. The suburb is also monitored by cameras for your safety. We do have a security company, which patrols the area regularly and is contactable at any time of the day and night.
We are equipped to handle load shedding (electricity outages) and are not affected by it should it happen during your stay with us.
This is a family oriented house and parties and gatherings are strictly forbidden. Smoking is allowed outside. Note that every person entering our premises must be listed on the reservation. This is a standard requirement for insurance purposes. If you want to bring guests during your stay, the host must be informed as a fee will be applied. Casa Mila
Our house is well situated at the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town offering guests the chance to explore local attractions such as the nearby sports stadiums and gourmet restaurants.
Ample self-catering 4 bedroom house in a quiet cul-de-sac in leafy Newlands. Three of the rooms are en-suite with the fourth having its own full bathroom just across the passage way. There is a lounge with a fireplace and sleeper couch, a dining room, library, as well as a TV room with a comfy couch and a patio with pool and barbecue area. Hotel-quality rooms are our standard.

Plastic free
We only use recycling plastic for the running of the house and keep it to a minimal.
Recycle
All dry waste produced at Casa Mila is recycled.
Waterwise
Rainwater is collected to maintain our garden, pool and for the general cleaning. We recycle backwash water from our pool too.
Compost
We make our own compost from our garden leaves.
Energywise
We save electricity using geyser blankets, timers and LED bulbs.
SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
Casa Mila works in collaboration with YES WE CAN, a non-profit company founded by the owner of Casa Mila, in Cape Town, with the stated aim of fighting poverty and empowering the underprivileged. This social entrepreneurship program is open to any person in need. The majority of the members of the Foundation were previously unemployed and now run their own sewing businesses from home, empowering their communities, as well as teaching newcomers their skills.
A percentage of Casa Mila's profit goes towards the organisation. All the African inspired products are displayed and for sale at our Guest House. They vary from backpacks, cosmetic bags, placemats, face masks and pencil bags to wild animal soft toys in beautiful, colourful African fabric.

THINGS TO DO
Main Attractions
The Waterfront is by far the most frequented tourist and local attraction in Cape Town, along with the cable car ride up Table Mountain and Robben Island.
Big 5 Safari
The closest big 5 safari is Aquila, which is a 2 hour drive from Cape Town. It gives you a feel of what it is to see wild animals in their natural habitat.
Wine Tours
We are spoilt for choice when it comes to wine farms in and around Cape Town. You can reach a few of the very local ones by car within 15 minutes. The outer winelands such as Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Paarl are all off the N1 or N2 and take 40 minutes to reach.
Leisure Activities
Our world famous botanical Kirstenbosch Garden is a must see - less than 10 minutes drive!
A day trip to Cape Point is always a spectacular experience.
A meander or even a guided tour around the city centre is a cultural eye opener!
Sports
We are situated right next to the International Newlands Rugby Stadium and Cricket Grounds. The best way to reach them is by foot!
Beaches galore - 20 mins drive
We are surrounded by beautiful sandy beaches, many of which have the blue flag status for cleanliness and safety.
